FAQs

Below are answers to some questions that couples frequently ask.
If you have any other questions feel free to contact me.

When should we book our Celebrant?

Once you have chosen your wedding date and venue, you should select your Marriage Celebrant.

Please remember: the latest you can lodge your intention to marry is one month prior to your wedding date.

How long does a Civil Marriage Ceremony usually last?

On average, a wedding ceremony lasts between 20 and 30 minutes.

This does depend though on the type of ceremony you have, whether it is a legal only ceremony or a full wedding ceremony. If you have a full wedding ceremony, this may be a longer ceremony dependent if you have readings and family involvement.

When do you arrive on our wedding day?

On your wedding day I will be at your ceremony venue at least 30 - 45 minutes before your wedding start time.

During this time I will set up, touch base with your key vendors to make sure everything is in order for your big day!

What will you wear to our ceremony?

I will always strive to fit in with your dress code, considering your wedding colour scheme.

Let me know if you are having a theme wedding; I can dress appropriately.

This is your wedding day, so generally I dress in neutral tones, however I do always check with each couple.

Do we need to write our own vows?

In addition to the legal vows you must say, many couples choose to write their own vows / promises to each other.

Writing vows can be daunting - don’t worry, I can provide vow writing assistance as part of my signature wedding package. Ensuring that I can take your thoughts and words and create meaningful, memorable vows for you.

Can our dog come to our wedding?

I have a love of animals and understand completely if you want your furbaby to be part of your special day.

You seem like a great fit, how do we book you?

Contact me to check if I am available for your wedding ceremony date and time.

Once I have confirmed availability, I will send you an online booking form.
